Historic Barn Restoration
This is a 32’ wide by 78’ long extended English barn built in the 1820s in Enfield NH. Like many old barns it had fallen into disrepair. Although there was much good to be found, there was also much bad that needed to be fixed. We had clients approach us about building a new barn in Woodstock Vermont that could be used for both agricultural and event space. We connected the two parties and were contracted to disassemble the barn in Enfield and reconstruct it in Woodstock. In Woodstock we cleaned all the pieces, repaired rotten parts and fabricated many new pieces to replace timbers that had disappeared over the years. We then reassembled the structure on a new foundation for it’s next 200 year run. An amazing project for some terrific folks. We can arrange a tour if you’re interested.
